The ugly truth about solopreneurship

Interest in solopreneurship is at an all-time high.

Per Google Trends:

It may be a stretch to call it the “Justin Welsh Effect”...

But people are realizing you don’t need to build a big company to become an entrepreneur.

And I’m all for it.

Yet here’s the ugly truth most won’t admit…

Solopreneurship is an artificial constraint that will interfere with your business growth.

If you’ve forbidden yourself from hiring even a single person…

Then it’s only a matter of time until you’re maxed out.

It’s simple math.

What do you do when that happens?

Despite this obvious conflict, being a solopreneur has become a badge of honor.

It’s a conscious choice to ignore the logical move…

Like hiring an assistant…

Even though it runs counter to your stated goal of making more money.

Quite a contradiction, methinks.

(I won’t bother to address the mental gymnastics on display by those who call themselves “solopreneurs” despite having full-time assistants.)

Anyway, case in point:

In the last 90 days since hiring an assistant…

I have:

- Posted 259 times across 5 different platforms
- Gained 2,000+ social media followers
- Written & mailed 45 newsletters
- Gained 450 email subscribers
- Published a 40-page guide
- Landed 2 media features

And that’s just across my personal brand.

It doesn’t even include what I’ve written & done for clients in that time.

As you can see…

This one hire has been a major unlock for me.

Another thing my assistant does for me is produce detailed reports on content performance across all platforms each month…

And once my new community launches, I’ll be sharing these with everyone inside.

So instead of just handing you my templates…

I’ll also be giving you the bird’s eye of view of what I’m seeing across all of my content.

Good, bad, and ugly.

So you can steal those insights for yourself.

If that piques your interest…

Then keep an eye on your inbox for more details to come.

I’m aiming to open the doors in early May.

In the meantime, if you’ve got any questions about hiring or working with an assistant…

Feel free to hit “Reply” and let me know.
